Project Portfolio Module
Introduction
The M&A Tools Project Portfolio Module provides the management tools to create, manage, and report on multiple projects or deals. The Project Portfolio module is available to every EKNOW client, but only visible to client users with appropriate roles: corporate development business units, oversight groups, deal teams, and key administrators. Key tools of the project Portfolio module include: organization, project templates, project playbooks, workflow & approvals, reporting, contact management, and communications.
Project Dashboard
The M&A Tools Portfolio Dashboard automatically summarizes all active projects in real-time. The Dashboard presents deal status, progress, performance, financial metrics and more, for the portfolio overall and for individual projects. Critical data are presented as easy to grasp heat maps, waterfall charts, timelines, and donut, bar and line plots. the dashboard is fully interactive, filterable, drill-able, printable, and customizable.
Project Stages
Each project in M&A Tools has a life cycle defined by your Project Stages (e.g. Prelim Analysis, DD, Negotiation, BoD Approval, Sign, Close. Implement, etc.). The stage of a given project drives which actions to take , approvals required, where to include the project in reports, and so on.
Deal Playbooks
In M&A Tools, the Deal Playbook consists of the actions, deliverables, reports, and approvals required by your corporate development process, stage by stage. M&A Tools playbooks provide critical structure and order to your corporate processes, while maintaining essential flexibility.

Template Projects
Template projects contain a clone-able system of project fields, project teams, roles, user assignment, playbook actions, and more. You can start with one or a few templates. Over time, create template projects corresponding to any deal type, line of business, geography, or variation.
Project Entry
start by cloning one of your template projects, or from a blank Project form. In either case, use the project form to capture key parameters of your project.
Business Organization
